Due to age and infirmity, the bike pinned me to the garage wall today when moving it..😕

I’ve badly scraped the right side white plastic OE hand guards, and broken off the mirror.

I‘m thus now looking to replace..Can anyone help..Any advice appreciated to ease my depression 🙏

I broke the mirror off the left side of the 80GS... Motorworks have them in stock. Indistinguishable from original. About £25 from memory, so not the end of the world.

Get the guards repaired and painted
I noticed sometime later the right edge of the front high mudguard is also scraped so it might come to this..👍
Thanks Rodent I’ll take a look, but I thought I’d give here a try just in case someone had a spare squirrelled away in the eaves..🐿️

Well - me being a generous Geordie; I have a high front mudguard if you need one (I fitted the low one) The superior turquoise colour. :thumb

No charge of course.

This is the beauty of this forum at times, and tbh the mudguard is a relatively minor issue, but thank you for your kind offer.
I have had a low mudguard (wrong colour) for several years so maybe it’s time to make a decision which way to go .. 🤔 Repair or replace.
I was more concerned as I thought the white OE style hand guards (with brake res cover) were no longer obtainable, but I’m informed they are 🤞

Thanks again for your offer..👍

FWIW I just had my hand guards repainted white and they have turned out perfect. Can let you know painter (in Derby).

Be careful if you fit the Acerbis guards that use an expanding bolt into the end of the bars. On mine the bolt actually distorted the shape of the bars. It took me a while to realise why the throttle wouldn't close smoothly. They can be fitted without causing this to happen.

Just catching up with this thread, and thank you all for your sage advice..Decisions, decisions .. 🤔
