In case anyone is interested in Petrovaradin Fortress old town in Serbia is a old workshop and they make by hand custom knives to your design. The handles can be ordered in a variety of materials including Horn. Various boxes and presentation cases are made as well. In the photo below is a selection of their knives. They are built to last and are very strong.

The top one is a biker knife that is designed for travelling bikers. It does not have a point and is short enough to be carried across borders. The round end also allows the making of sandwiches far easier than a dagger type blade. Including sheath.
45 Euro

The next one down is a kitchen knife 60 Euro followed by a boning knife 30 Euro and at the btm a presentation knife. 350 Euro

Engraving and gold inlay are all available on request. Various sheaths are available on request and requirement.

They also make swords and axes if you want one. Basically any cutting thing you might require.
As with all business the more ordered the cheaper the price. Payment can be made by bank transfer (UK bank ) or Paypal and delivery to UK is easily arranged. Cost for custom blades on application.
Dragans Email is [email protected] he speaks English and is a top man. As most work is bespoke please contact him or me with any questions. Most knives can be produced within a week. He has a range of ready made Kitchen and hunting knives which are ready for purchase.

I am doing this as a very happy customer who wants to help a friend.

more photos on request and I apologies for the quality as I am no photographer !

Knives

About the website it took him years to get a email address which he classes as highly technical ! so this posting is his web site.

Sea master can you please let me know what you mean ?

I will take some more pictures when I am there next.

I have been thinking about this today and I have been unkind to your friend for which I apologise.

I have used blades all my working life in various forms either in butchery or boatbuilding. (Some of my previous bosses have said that my work is one and the same thing)

I like to see blades that come to an arris along their length and have a micro bevel to form an edge, to sharpen, just lightly pass across a steel.
The blades shown appear to have heavy shoulders that make them look like they need grinding to get the micro bevel back to allow them to hold an edge.

If the style of the blade is to have a bevel then at least ensure it is parallel to the ground edge.

Perhaps I am missing the point, and they are good value for money, but to me they look like they have had a hard life before their life has begun.

I asure you the knives look great its my photography that is rubbish, and some are actualy used ones of mine. The edge on the blade is how you would like them he makes them as you wish. The blade thickness is also as you whish as well. He supplies and sharpens many knives for butchers, resturants and slaughter houses. his main business is the comercial customers. As with the actual knife material he can supply many different blades including damascus steel made in a local blacksmiths.

Seamaster Why dont you send me you requirements and I will send you a knife and if you like it then pay for it?

How about a ukgser engraved biker knife, if 10 get ordered he said he will do them with sheath for 40 euro thats 34 gbp.

I have used mine for years and split fire wood and made many a good sandwich!

As above.
Looking for a decent knife when going camping. Like the look of the Bushcraft. Give me a price please

cheers Ali

Cracking workmanship ..... best way to buy would be to take a run down - you can feel the goods and get just what suits you!!
Petrovaradin Fortress is stunning and their are some amazing artists in some of the workshops to keep the other half happy with your shopping trip....
And going back to the price of Europe thread.... you get a lot more pissed and fed in Serbia for your money! But beware its a scary place... Dave (IAP) popped down for a beer with Ian and never got out!!

Cheers Gavinbell but just back from Podgorica. If I had known I would have made the effort and gone. Bu**er eh!!
