Given that most of the newer bikes have heated grips, so that helps with the cold, but what do you guys think are the better Handguard Extenders, and why...........:beerjug:

I've got the Givi ones (smoked perspex). Don't know how they compare to others but they definitely keep your hands warmer and drier than the OEM guards alone.

Don’t know what make mine are but they help to keep your hands dryer and extend the period that you can use lighter less waterproof gloves. JJH

What about not using extenders? I've used Tucano muffs with my vented summer gloves through the winter and often needed to turn heated grips off as they're too hot.

If it really is that cold, bike will be in the garage, them things are for the north pole :beerjug:

Touratech, they are the same material as the existing guard and once fitted look like they are OEM.

+1 for the Givi. Excellent quality, fit and do exactly what they say on the tin.

For me they've been a revelation - I can't believe I was so prejudiced against them.

No more thick winter gloves, no more hooking up heated gloves or liners and more importantly no more cold hands.

Cheers Alan, seen these but do not want to drill holes, Givi or Puig seem to be enough for my small needs.
I thought the same until I offered them up. There is no measuring or judgment involved- they click into place located by a ridge and the bmw-like torx bolts just hold them in place. Really easy to do.

Another fan here of the Givi guards, easy to fit and make a big difference.

Wunderlich ones here. Effective and look totally OEM.

Givi for me, as I like the easy fit and discrete look.

Since riding a GSA I’ve tended to wear summer gloves for about 99% of the time; probably because I’ve ridden sports bikes for so long and have got used to the feel that race gloves provide. Secondary effect of this, I can feel the heat from the grips better - blimey, don’t the latest GSA grips get hot? Nice!

Oh yeah too bloody hot lol, Givi are on the way, and yep I prefer the summer gloves, but also feel the vibes more in summer gloves, life is so complicated :nenau
