As per the title, looking to buy a set of handguard extensions for the gsa lc, seems to be 3 types on Motorworks website, either the Wunderlich ones, Givi's or a third unknown brand plus there are Maier ones on E Bay but they don't seem to have a UK importer .

Anyone got any experience of any of these makes ie fit , build quality and level of protection ?

Secondly my older twin cam has a Rugged Roads toolbox on the pannier rails which is a cracking bit of kit, unfortunately they don't do one for the lc model.

The two which seem to be available are the GS Emotions alloy box and the Cymarc one , anybody got one on the bike and which is the best ?

I have the GS Emotion toolbox on mine, and I went with that one, as it's meant to be fully waterproof. I'll report back after this weekend's downpours.:D

Wunderlich hand guard extenders work well and look almost factory, the plastics match the OEM guards you are attaching them to.

My bumot toolbox is roomy enough and has been totally waterproof, but it's designed to fit to bumot pannier rails, so no use to you :)

I had a Cymarc box on my TC, that was great for access as it opened outwards through the pannier frame, and was extra secure as with the pannier fitted it was an extra barrier. Mine did leak a bit in really heavy rain though.

My cymarc toolbox is pretty secure and looks great power coated in black.
Not waterproof though but tool roll is in a plastic bag so it no problem. Useful size and holds plenty

If you want a professional looking toolbox then you want one of these, fitted two days ago
