Handle Bar Grips

OK this may be stupid question.

Can you change just the rubber grips on BMW heated grips.

I have looked on all the relevant web sites and they seem to sell heated rubber grips complete with electrics.

Something I am planning to do at some point as the current ones are wearing though.

Did mine the other day (bought 2 right hand heated grip rubbers from James Sherlocks).
The job went so smoothly that I had to reread a post to make sure I did it correctly. Mine were easy peesy.
How can hair spray make it slip on so easily?

The grips on my 1200 are one of the only real gripes I have. They're thin and rock hard. I much prefer the RT styled ones on the 1150.

I think (think) that the 1200 grips have their element actually in the grip itself so you can't slice them off.

Anybody know ??
