Likely this has been asked a zillion times before but my searches didnt come up with anything................ I commute to work year round and fitted a set of Oxford (dispatch rider type) muffs over the handlbar grips on my VFR. Fantastic for keeping rain and freezing cold wind out. I still have the VFR but am using my 1150 GS more and more for commuting so, anyone know of a decent set of muffs that i can buy??

Cheers

Dave

Tucano urbano muffs as sold by Val H of this parish, try looking in the vendors section, I have had mine for two winters so far :thumb2

And another +1, summer gloves all through the winter with the benefit in feel and the increased heat received from the heated grips.

Another vote ...

... for Tucano Urbano, but not the all-enveloping ones; try the R361, you'll have to remove the handguards but they are slightly cheaper. I use them on my scooter (Tmax) and they are brilliant, no need for heated grips just summer gloves all year long :thumb2

muffing it

have used Oxfords on the 1150 for years brillient.

+1 for Val H's TU muffs & they have the advantage that they fit over the existing handguards so fitting is a 10 min job. Warm, toastie hands await...

I've a 10 year old pair of Oxford's that refuse to die. At the time I bought some Acrebics brush guards to fit underneath to stop the muffs fouling the levers. Works a treat and has been reinstated on my latest GS. And as I got bored trying to get the clamps on for the guards i used cable ties which work better than the bloody clamps.

Stick a longer bolt for the end of the guards and a big washer and you have a near permanent "muff" set up! Oh, the joy.....:thumb.
