Firstly what do you call the crossbar that can be fitted to the handlebars? Can't search for them otherwise :o

Secondly, any suggestions on bags that can be fitted to these? The TT bag for the standard bars doesn't look too good from pics I've seen.

I'm looking for something to accomodate Autocom, PMR and mobile phone.

Oh yeah, I've got a 1200GS.

Thanks in advance for any help, advice and (hopefully polite) suggestions.

It's a bar brace generally.

www.stjohnscycles.co.uk have a good selection of well-make cycle bags and accessories that are good for this, and IME are generally better designed and made than many of the motorcycle ones.

Coz,

I've got a Hein Gerike handlebar bag sitting in the garage doing nothing. It's in very good condition. You can have it for a fiver including the postage if you want it. To be honest they aren't that waterproof so anything going in there needs it's own waterproof bag.

Bu99er!! Just got back from HG in Reading where I obtained a handlebar bag :( Thanks anyway.

I did note that they have that and a (I think) disclock bag which is quite similar in shape but grey/blue on one side.

Can anyone suggest where I might get a crossbar/bracebar for the 1200GS ?

Now that I have the HG handlebar bag home I do think it would be better with velcro fastenings instead of the 'loop back buckle' whatever it's called.

Now, where did I see a pic of the Wunderleich bag.....
