Hello,
a while ago I heard from a guy who mounted a brace like this one:
http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.asp?number=WUN-1624570&variation=&aitem=17&mitem=23
on the handlebar of his R12GS and experienced a signifcant reduction in vibration in his hands and arms.
Is there anyone who can confirm that this is a suitable way to reduce vibration (or if it does not make a difference).
As far as I am aware, the ADV comes with such a brace welded to its handlebar. Someone who has ridden both bikes and noticed if there is less handlebar vibration on the ADV compared to the standard bike?
By the way, due to speed limitation all over the place over here I mainly use between 3000 and 4500/5000 rpm.

Appreciate your input

Thanks
Joerg

X-BAR

Hi,
I have one of these fitted on my new 1200 GS, and it makes no difference to the vibration level (but mine did not vibrate much in the first place). Better to check for the source of vibration than to try to hide it:nenau

Forgot to mention about the ADV, it has a removeable bar similar to the one you mentioned, and I have ridden the ADV extensively and noticed NO discernable difference in vibration levels:bounce1

Hi Eng,
that was exactly what I was looking for, thanks very much for sharing your experience. I'll use the saved money and buy some fuel instead.

Cheers
