I need a new set of handlebars for my 2011 gs adventure. after weeks of searching I have found nothing that will replace them except from bmw.
Has anyone changed their bars and if so which ones did you get?
it's primarily for the width that I am having issues
thanks in advance:thumb2

If it because of the uncomfortable bend and width of the bars that you want to swap you have a problem.
I tried two sets of renthal fatbars on mine, one was a really comfortable trials bend and the other a higher motocross bend.
Both fitted and were narrower which is what I wanted BUT it ended up with zero lock as both sets hit the screen, so it ended up standard as I got sickened off trying the combinations with risers etc non of which worked.
To do it properly I reckon the gsa screen needs to be changed

hi,

no it's because the bloke who had it before bent them. they're out by an inch.
need new bars.

width height position is fine apart from the bend on one side which is uncomfortable after about 60 miles or so

Do you know what the fatbar model number was for the high bend? I am just in the process of trying different bends. I purchased some thread inserts to fit original bar weights and hand guards.

it's the width of the original bars that seems to be the issue.
renthal high bars seem great but quite a bit narrower than OEM bars. the WRP from touratech also seem good but about 40mm narrower.
typical BMW to make non standard sizes.

Its only a piece of tube and an inch isn't much you can pull them back providing they not kinked

You will never succesfully straighten out a set of fat bars!
As for what bend I bought the standard trials bend was most comfortable the other one was a high cr bend BUT as said it is a load of grief on an adventure , the rearward bend on the end of the standard bars is there to clear the screen.
The trials bend bars are now on my xr250

a bit extreme in form, function and price!

do look good though!
