What a lovely day. Some good photos so far.
Great choice of roads and tracks Mr Forry. It was ok until that vertical gravel hill you forced us down. ( Im sure I heard him say to me that I would be a pansy if I didnt try it)
Anyhoo, I stopped half way down at the edge of the cliff (to take a photo of course) and Kai started to show-off by somersaulting down the inside lane and planting his face in the bank. Some people !!
One of the bestest ride-outs yet. Till the next one.
Cmon Ronnie, where is that pic of me wheelspinning and wheelying up that hill?

Ok Kai, here it is

Ah, that's the reason then!?

Had a bit of a sair heid after that. Must have been dehydration!

Unfinished business with that hill now. Maybe I can scrape up the other side next time. Only the indicator needs replacing for now. But there are a number of parts that didn't really appreciate the incident. Minor damage to the screen, TT fog light shield, hand guard, mirror, cylinder head (in spite of the TT guard! )... none of which need replacing straight away.

Good day out. Very warm too.

I decided to bail out early and head home for a proper damage evaluation. So that's why I didn't go to the Cedar.

Kai :beerjug:

That was great fun today :bounce1 Forry, well done for sussing out the tracks :clap
I'll post up some pics of the water crossing later :thumb2
Kai, good to hear you're OK :blast

recognise some of the roads you were on today but not the gravel track over the hills and far away, wish I`d went now but there again I spotted a ford among the pics :blast

Looks like a great day out with some excellent piccies. Where did the snake appear from??!!
PS Forry, will you please teach me how to pop a wheelie? That's such a great pic Ronno!

Excellent day out - sorry I had to leave early but promised I'd be home for tea! Did not realise just how many lovely wee roads there are in the borders - pity I had to finish by struggling back across that 'wee road'' over the Forth - bleeding nightmare.
Hope to put some more faces to the names next time out.

Thanks for a great day out.

The wheelie was just luck i'd just came up over big bump and Ronno had the camera out :D

Can you post where the long offroad sections were. Its a long way to come down from Aberdeen for a dayout but looked great fun.

AndyT:cool:

Yea, n can we make the next one a Wednesday or a Tuesday when Im not stuck at work, please. :eek
Looks like a really good day. Its almost imposible not to wheelie with bumps like that on the track.
Hope the bike is ok Kai :thumb2 Its better having an off somewhere like that than in tesco carpark. I was just surprised that it wasnt Ronno :augie :D

Great pics, Forry.

The white/blue 100GS rider is "Straypuss".

Those roads don't look half as scary in the pics as they do from the saddle !

I was glad of my sump guard / bash plates - rocks were clanging off the underside all along there.

Bob.

"Farmer Palmer" turned up at the Cedar cafe on the 'Ice Dog' :thumb2 .

He was bemoaning the warm, dry weather - he needs rain for his potato crop ! :D

There must have been an accident after you guys left because the road from Selkirk to the Glen Cafe was closed at the Gordon arms in the afternoon.

Yes there was , how ironic the police were at the Glen Cafe last sunday as part of their safety campagin

Sorry to read of the accident. There has been so many bikers killed so far this year in the North of England (this is the 1st I've known in Scotland so far) I hope it's the last, it's a very sad start to the season.
