You can get the oil & air filters from car part outlets (may have to order)as they are made for bmw by mahle filters,
Oil filter is a mahle OC 306, and the air filter is a mahle LX 984/2 .
only cost me about £10 for both :D

Looks like the air filter is the same for my 1200RT so I'll be asking at my local motorfactors,

2004 R1200GS service manual

All I was after was a Dummy's Guide-type guide for maintenance of my bike, I accidentally stumbled across this site:

http://store.payloadz.com/str-asp-i..._Manual_84_17_MB_Other_Files_-end-detail.html

... from where for a piddling US$11.99 I seem to have downloaded BMW's original service manual. This isn't a pdf document. It is a multiple language, 92Mb searchable database application with detailed technical data, repair instructions, photographs, illustrations, etc, etc. More than I could possibly use, but a bargain none-the-less. As I say, the link above is for the 2004 model, which suits me, but there may be others available.

Check it out. For that money you can't lose!
