Just got this ready for its French MoT next week. First time I’ve ridden it properly and I have to say I’m really happy with it. It runs like a sewing machine

Mikuni carbs in place of the Bings? Or did it always have Mikunis?

They had cable slide bings originally but this has had mikuni VM28s fitted along with Boyer electronic ignition. It runs lovely, better than my other airheads in fact. Mind you it only has 24k miles on the clock with an MoT history that backs it up Didn’t stop so well though so i spent an hour yesterday de-glazing the shoes and adjusting everything properly. Hoping for improved stopping performance tomorrow when it goes for its French MoT (not that they check the brakes!)Mikuni carbs in place of the Bings? Or did it always have Mikunis?

I restored a 600/6 last year.
New brake shoes were fitted ,
I found the front brake ok when riding,
Not so on hill starts
They just don’t work going backwards

Discovered that the first time I rolled it backwards off the bike ramp and it didn’t stop until it hit the garage door!I restored a 600/6 last year.
