Happy Christmas to all and South Coast service day March 20th

Hi all happy Christmas before I get on with prepping veg etc for the tomorrow I'd like to wish you all a very merry Christmas. I would also like to put up this idea for a repeat of last year with a south coast service day on Sunday 20th March. Last year was a great success with Mikey Boy standing in for Steptoe at such short notice.

Would like to know some idea of numbers looking to make a weekend of it or just coming down for day, will then ring around for local accommodation and either lay on the visit to Sammy Millers or the Beaulieu Motor museum. Service day cost to include the memorable all day buffet is £25.00

I'd definitely be interested in the service day. Got my 1150 in september and can't believe how much I enjoy riding it compared to the previous Jap multis. Mr Honda makes a fine machine but the GS has a soul and feels alive by comparison. Thanks to this site, I'm learning how to keep it in top condition and a service day with knowledgeable instruction would really help.
 
Yes interested, only confident doing the oils on my 1100, would've good to know more
 
just checking with Steptoe to see if available as you will remember last year he was taken poorly and Mikey Boy was able to step in and save the day.
 
Hi yes just waiting for Steptoe to confirm dates as he has a tripped planned so obviously not wanting to clash with him, will keep all posted
 
I really enjoyed this last time round, it gave me reassurance that I was doing things right on my own 1150, and I learnt new skills too - like how to properly balance the throttle bodies. I've since bought some gauges and do it myself now every service... and the food and company were excellent...

Sorry chaps, I'm in a west end show every weekend from 27th Feb until 30th april.
As you can imagine these type of opportunities don't come along that often and must be taken when they do..

I did some shows last year.

Neil many thanks for the update and those pictures, end of Feb would be good but judging by the current weather it's going to be some time before this dries up. Saw a few brave Tossers at the Bristol bike show today, think far better to schedule this now for (pencil in Sunday 8th May)
Trust that this my be an acceptable option for all, will check that venue is clear and caterers can deliver.
