Happy day ride out

Had an absolute blast of a ride out yesterday with my father in law.

I had my trusty R1150GSa and his Tallinn of choice was was is 1998 CBR 918 RR.

Nailed 220 miles around Durham, Nents Head, Alston, Brampton, Longtown, Newcastleton, back through Kielder then home to south Northumberland.

It's the first time since last September that I have had a decent run out, (although I have used the bike all through the winter), and was great to get used to some proper twisters to find the handling again.

I absolute love this bike and can happily say I am keeping it for many years to come.

36k miles young and I can't wait to get it to 100k!

I have just treat her to a deep clean. Snow foam, shampoo, towel dry and full ACF 50 treatment.

Sounds like a great day out and on a great bike. I had a day out around Nidderdale at the weekend which was my first since a shoulder injury last August.

I can't tell you how good it felt to be fit again and back out on the bike. Roll on summer.

Glad your back on the bike and hope the shoulder holds up!

It was fun chasing down my father in law. He left me on the straights but he was surprised how well I kept up in the corners!
