After reading endless threads on 1200's doom & gloom. I just had to get one. I have spent a bit of time mitigating some of the problems mentioned here and given it the 12000 m service, all is well. Just got back from a great ride out across the South Downs. Lets have a few happy days tails to remind us why we are here!

Was it a long wait for the recovery truck to get back????

I'll add to this post : done Wales, Pyrenees, French and Italian Alps, Germany... it's a great bike.
Even when not travelling, every ride delivers a huge smile on my face.
I just looooooove my bike.

(TBH my first R12GS was a lot of trouble)
