Dan, schools were off in our Region to mark St. Andrew's Day. However, they were off yesterday... And since they were closed today because of the snow, yesterday counts for nothing.
Celebrating Burns is probably more a bigger cultural activity in Scotland, and elsewhere around the world...

As from 2011, Burns Night will be known as Jez Night. I'm not too sure why...
