I was looking into installing auxiliary spot lights on my 1200 but as an interim installed some super cheap yellow motocycle fog light guards to:

- serve as protective cover
- improve daytime road-riding conspicuity
- improve night vision on unlit roads
- improve visibility of the lit surface during foggy or severe wet weather

At less than £15 delivered, I'm pleased enough with the results. I'm not suggesting they compete at all with a proper Denali-type setup or satisfy needs for off-road, but they do a pretty good job at satisfying all of the above immediate requirements for me.

They also flip up so I can temporarily return the light to its original state at any time.
