Hard wiring Zumo 550

Hi

New to this group, so the answer might have already been posted. But I have just purchased a new R1200GS Adventure, and want mount my Zumo 550 from my old bike to the new.

My question is can I use the Can Bus connevtion at the front of the bike, and can you still get a plug/lead from BMW. Or do I have to buy the Garmin one from the likes of NippyNormans which is about £49, which I think is an awful lot just for a £20 cable with a plug on the end fitted.

Put a post in for sale and wanted section.

I had one for a swap earlier this month and had to wait a bit longer than I expected to find someone wanting to give me the cheap lead at no extra cost.

I sold my 1200 and bought a KTM. there are others out there in a similar position.
