OK chaps, been considering getting into touch with my feminine side and scratching (or furiously rubbing depending on your perspective) my Harley curiosity. Been looking around and have kinda decided this would be for a projecty- type thing that I could rusto/resto mod to a gentle degree so was looking at something cheap 5-6k or so. A sporty would do (this will be a 3rd bike for shits and giggles only really) and probably an iron head. I know NOTHING about HD's other that what I have gleaned from t'internet over the last couple of months or so........so - have seen this. Ignore the price - I can do something about that, but why SHOULDNT I buy this (Or indeed, why should I?)

PLease take this piss.

Thank you :okay

Personally, unless you are an “enthusiast “ I’d stay a way from Iron Head sporties… get an EVO one preferably 1200 but the 883 is also ok…

Iron head sporties need a lot of love and attention…

hmmm.... i've an 04 1200 sportster, xl1200r, that needs to go , ( he said, crying ) . at the bottom of your budget. stock apart from k+n , newish tyres , screen (old) , backrest, panniers frames , koni's , progressive springs in the front, recent belt and sprocket, sprag clutch. 25k miles i think .

I’ll have a lovely super glide sport up for sale, probably by the end of this week……:beerjug:

And from what I’ve seen…. It is lovely.

Probably one of the best Dynas you can get….. bomb proof residuals..buy it and if you don’t like it get your money back..

NB: The inclusion of the word 'Sport' in the title of any HD product is purely aspirational.

Had enough, huh? I can’t say I blame you….:D

:D In fairness, it didn’t miss a beat on the W&W trip, it was great. Perhaps I should have put the other seat on it which I have. Thank God you had the air hawk with you! It was brilliant :thumb and will be back with you this week, thanks again!:beerjug:

I think your ironhead choice is ideal for "shits and giggles", whatever that means

No engine to worry about.
