I had my first chance to try the harmonizer out today and My first atempt at balancing the throttle bodies on a bike.

1 warmed the bike up to operating temp
2 turned the bike off connected the harmonizer and the gs-911
3 locked the stepper motors using the gs-911
4 slackened off the right hand side throttle cable
5 started the syncroization
6 at ildle the bar favored the right hand side but the smily face was still there
7 i made adjustment to try to center the bar on the harmonizer
8 checked the harmonizer bar at 2000 and 4000 revs and it looked ok but not perfect ie bang in the middle.

A couple of questions
Should i expect to be able to center the bar bang in the middle on all rev ranges ( is it possible )
Did i do the job correctly or did i miss anything.

Cheers
Eddie

The idle balance is not adjustable on your bike. The cables are used to balance the intakes at anything above idle. Once balanced at 4000 rpm thay should be balanced throughout the range.

If you have the correct software for the GS911, you can reset the idle stepper motors once balanced at higher RPM so that they start from the same number of steps. Basically it fully shuts the steppers, memorises the fully closed position, then counts open to the base idle position, all at the click of an icon. Obviously you park the idle steppers using the GS911 to synchronise the throttle bodies via the cable adjusters.
