Set off from Harrogate in lovely sunshine.Up through Leyburn,Reeth,Keld,Kirkby Stephen and Penrith.Pissing it down,windy,cold.That'll be the British Summer then.
Spied a GS1150 in the car park at the Hartside caff,too wet and cold to stop up there though.Saw the same bike passing through Middleton while I was in a teashop there. Was it you? Did you happen to see the pre-war Indian motorsickle with Swedish plates broken down a bit further on? I stopped to see if he was o.k. he said "sure,overheating a bit" and went on with dismantling the motor.
And I thought I was keen,out in that weather

I stopped to help that bloke on the A1 last night, he had got lost from his mates, no map and no mobile phone. I left him in the hands of the fake motorway police

No, you're dead right. Sheilagh Hynde, aka Fay Fife was with the Rezillos who became the Revillos. She was also Alan Forbes girlfriend at the time.
