Nahhhhh, surely not.

My brothers bought a farm at Garrigill (Alston ) ....

I'm sure I said Defender and not Prius , see you next spring Mick ..... :rob

At least we'll save on the Christmas presents ...... :D

Where are we going this summer :D

After all the bills come in for wedding, hatching a plan to do Vosges, down to Andermatt, Austria , poss further. Or Vosges down to do some tracks aka Mr. Franco. This appeals more to me than Julie. Early days, will be last two weeks Aug ish. May just book train Calais Tunnel job and wing it. Have done so many with friends organized and 9 times out of 10 run like the proverbial Swiss watch. Fancy a little chaos. I know Julie won't agree. He ho. Whatever it will be more enjoyable than last year when we didn't do a trip to Europe on bikes.
What you planning . May just follow your wheel tracks again my good man.

On the far side of Alston on the road from Middleton in Teesdale earlier this year - I'm fairly sure it was April, maybe even early May - it started sleeting then snowing and went dark bally quick - thought I might not make it to Alston at one point

Down the cobbles, in for some fuel and all was well in the end :D (tho' still v cold and wet :tears)

We're going a bit off thread, but it's good to look forward to the warmth as we head into the winter :D

Looks like we will end up in the Italian Lakes again. I have investigated getting the train back to give some more time for Croatia, but instead I think I will try some time in Austria (Salzburg) as well as the Dolomites.

I hope the wedding went well :thumby:
