Has anyone repainted their GS in the SE colours ?

I’m thinking of doing this, Dunno why, Just bored with the Mandarin. Will it make much difference to the resale value?
What is the colour code of the white & blue?
Also going to have the seat recovered in blue, Maybe

That's funny, I was going post a thread about what is the most suitable colour for a GS.

I like the old silver, before the ADV and with the old graphics.
it was decent paint and laquered too.

I may change my SE to that one day or a deep strong red with black seat.

Can't blame you for wanting to change from monkey piss yellow or mandarin as you call it...yellow bikes are for folk from Essex

Thats the Kiddie Bryn, The SE. Can i buy the tank decals from BMW ? And you have to right to VOSA to change the colour on the log book ?

twowheelhumvee of this parish can do the decals for ya and yes you have to notify VOSA

just return your log book.. there's a section about 'change of details'

I always fancied a white 1100.. though in the end went for an 'old' white.. instead of the Alpin.

this is Chamonix white.. was used on late 60s rovers. (bike was black originally with a red seat)

I'm not fussed about decals... says GS on the rad grille.

not sure but i think the true SE white is a satin sort of finish, not gloss im sure bryn can confirm

Not gloss - satin would describe it

Clearly I was an Essex geezer in a past life. I actually prefer 'piss' Mandarin, to all the other options. It's the cheerful choice. Mine's in Wehrmacht Field Grey (the mattish graphite one).

Doesn't bother me enough to want to change it, though.

I intend to buy an air-head (too) at some some point. I'd rather put the money to doing that.

yes was the standard but have the adv shocks and tank to fit this winter bought a touratech duel seat in a word shyte so will eventually change to the bm one chap i bought the shocks from recently had the seat and rack etc for sale may still have them if your interested,,,me im all spent out for the time being got to draw my horns in,,,
ps fitted the tck's would highly recommend it once you get over the initial shock there great fun much more involving turns the most boring run on a dark wet night into something completely different
