Has anyone tried the new Tribe pmr 446 radio

Where has he got the speakers

Well, crushingly disappointing really. I can hear my mate on the tribe/f4 OK but volume at his end means he can barely hear me at a standstill. Once moving he can't hear a word. Have tried going though the instructions time and time again, his volume seems to be on max, have adjusted his headset, tried different channels etc, but all to no avail. No problems with my Puxing/Autocom set-up reported before. The signal is getting out, just too quiet at his end.

I've got to believe that we're doing something wrong but can't see it....

Ant pearls of wisdom that might sort this appreciated, posting this from a tent in the Ardennes.

I only ask this because the first time I tried it with a Scala G4 the rider could hardly hear me and I could hardly hear him. Couple of tweaks moved the speakers and put the mic closer to his mouth. Worked.
Been out today wit another client, no issues. Pmr - Tribe - Scala G4

Hello

Things working well with this radio, now I have managed to read the instructions. Was out the othe rdya and paired it with a Scala G4 Bluetooth headset. No problems and all radio transmissions heard. However still not mamanged to get the vox setting right for the Bluetooth equipped rider to talk back - Some transimissions heard. Will do some more testing,

Impressed - Yes

ps

Have a Interphone F4 on test. Testing it soon

In the Tribe literature there is reference to headset/microphone jack. What type of connection is it and does this give the option to hard-wire your headset to the Tribe? (I know it is somewhat defeating the objective to do this!)

Micro USB at the base is the only external connection, apparently you can connect a headset (and then the volume becomes magically manually configureble  ). I image that the headset is an Interphone accessory (hitherto unannounced and not available for sale). The pin-outs, if you fancy soldering a micro USB jack, are unknown.
