Has anyone tried the Wunderlich ergo handlebar risers for the GS/GSA?

I've just taken the 1250GS and GSA out for a test ride today and loved the GSA (GS was a bit small for me) however I found the handlebar/riding position put too much stress on my arms and shoulders, especially my right one which is particularly dodgy due to fibromyalgia. I've been looking at options to address this issue and have come across the Wunderlich Ergo Handlebar risers that raise the bars 38mm and move them back 27mm. In theory this should help, but it's a bit of a gamble to buy a bike hoping that they will so I was wondering if anyone has tried them and can comment how they affect comfort please?

For info I'm 6'4" and rode the GSA with the seat in the high position.

I’ve got some although not wunderlich the same up and back, I like them and find it a better riding position

Thanks for the reply, do you find it less strain on your arms? Which ones do you have?

I have the Wunderlich 40mm up and back
With no pressure on my arms or neck back find this position for me perfect

I used Rox Risers on the 1200.
Found them far better than the Wunderlich and copies as I could put them in any position I wanted to through an arc.
Haven’t fitted them to the 1250 as I use that in a different way now without anywhere near the road miles I did on the 1200.

Ive got a set of rox risers for sale if your interested

PM me for details pics if your interested

Yes I have these, because same as you sore shoulder, it gives super relief, and makes bike so much better to ride long time.

Thanks
I have the 40mm up and back risers (I think they're the same as the ones in the OP) on my GS and they transformed the comfort of the bike for me. I'm only 6' but short legs/long back.

Thanks as well

Not heard of those, will look into them thanks.

As above I’ve not heard of them so will look into them first. Could be a good idea to get some used ones and ask if I can fit them to the dealer’s demo bike.

That sounds promising.

It’s much better, I got mine from a British firm via eBay I think, half the price and exactly the same, can’t remember exactly who tho

I bought a set from China off ebay first and one of the bottom threads in the risers stripped as I tightened the bolt up. They looked the same until I put them next to the Wunderlich ones where it was clear they were not. The bolts used by Wunderlich were longer (35 and 30mm), there was more threads in the bar riser due to a slightly different design and more distance in the bottom riser to headstock bolt hole where they used a bolt with a thinner head plus the gap between the riser and bar clamp was thinner too on the Wunderlich ones. A lesson learnt for me, though it could have been a lot worse. I'm not saying yours are not as good as the Wunderlich ones but it's something for buyers to be aware of as others online might look the same in the photos but this might not actually be the case .:beerjug:

I think this would be Moto-CNC. Used their risers on three bikes - excellent quality - in my opinion as good as Rox but at less cost. Excellent company to deal with as well.

Thanks guys. I'm going to contact my dealership and ask if they'd allow me to fit some risers to their demo bike before purchasing, if it doesn't work at least I can sell them again and won't lose a chunk of money.

I just recently fitted these same Wunderlich ones to my 2019 GSA. I'm 6'2 and find on the GSA (and my previous Triumph Explorer) my left shoulder gets sore after a while. I've not ridden it enough to test it thoroughly but it already feels a more natural position for me.

Just an FYI, the instructions aren't brilliant that come with them. there are 4 bolts to bolt the risers to the bike and 4 to bolt the bars back on. But of the 4 that bolt the risers on, 2 of them have shallower caps to that dont protrude into the part where the bar is meant to sit.

Thanks for the info. TBH my shoulder’s in bits this morning so I’m kind of swaying away from the GSA, as much as I love the bike and really want it :(
