Has anyone used a BMW Navigator cradle on 2610???

I've just bought a BMW Navigator and was wondering if I can do 1 of 2 things??

1 - Load my 2610 City Navigator software onto the BMW Navigator 2 unit! Is it compatible and will it work or

2 - Use my 2610 with the BMW Navigator cradle so i get the additional 4 buttons that the navigator cradle has.

Has anyone tried either of the above or come up wit another solution. I suppose the 3rd thing is to buty the latest BMW Navigator 2 software but I already have that for my 2610 so in a bit of a quandry.....

Any ideas on the best way forwards

Yes, but you'll need an unlock code.

No, this won't work. The 2610 will obviously fit in the cradle but the buttons won't work.

Why not just use the Navigator with the Navigator cradle, and if necessary, update the mapping..? Or am I missing something..?

That was option 1 as Schtum has pointed out. I have unlock codes but I guess you can only use the software on 1 unit and not 2 so I may need to purchase another set of software.
