Seen quite a few that havn't sold due to stupid high prices for a bike that simply isn't worth that price. Just wondering if the GS airhead bubble is finally stabalizing and prices will reflect the actual bike and not just the logo on the side?
Just wondering, that's all :)
All about supply and demand I suppose !

Good original, low mileage unrestored examples of the early bikes will still fetch top money.
Tarted up and highly polished later models have had their day.
Not that i've ever paid silly money for an airhead anyway.
There was still plenty out there for the right money, even when dreamers were asking mad prices.

Is this a repost? I remember the exact same wording a while back.

They shouldn't fetch the stupid money they've been fetching. Far too many people jumping in snapping up potential investments and spoiling it for the folk who want to ride them.

Posh on this side of the River Mersey my good Sir. Queensberry rules would apply ! :augie

I was at Tarkas house years ago, he was telling me how nice the Wirral was. We walked out of his house to find his neighbours car with both front door window frames bent open at 45 deg. We didn't say any more about it after that :D

Hopefully the whole Airhead bubble has crapped out and as for the whole bobber/café racer/etc crapola I hope it is burnt out as it has seen off quite a few good bikes to the bin of fashion... I saw a day or two ago a couple of compete fantasy bikes, one very overpriced even though it is half OK and another complete shed for more money than a very descent donor bike...

And then a man is getting haggled over a £2.5k R12GS...:blast Inverted logic or what...

There are plenty of Oilheads out there for descent money and which are easier to look after than many an airhead and far more reliable... And yes I have a fairly tatty/ratty R100RT that has plenty of "character" and is a bit "retro" but doesn't even come close to 1/2 of my 1000 Strom for the same or more money...

Keep it real...;)
