just wondering... mine has through my autocom, very harsh and sore on the lugs if listening for any length of time

I plug the headset/headphones direct in.
With the Starcom headset connected direct the quality is ok from their speakers in the helmet.

If I'm going for a longer trip I'll plug in the Seinheiser CX300.. Fantastic quality and I even have to turn the volume down as they act as ear plugs too.

Just bang a pair of any earphones into the socket on the Zumo mount and see how it sounds.

If it's a bit crackly, try wiggling the Zumo in the mount as it may have bad/corroded contacts?

it's not crackling or hum... just poor sound... when i had my phone or ipaq plugged in they were much better

Mine is OK for sound - the problem I had was the phone volume.Alan at Hurst's told me Garmin recommended the bluetooth dongle. Pricey, but it worked

i don't think it's the Autocom.. but i could be wrong...it seems like the zumo to me... just music is very harsh to listen to... it could do with an equaliser on it
