I thought the new V8 would give full postcode search on my 2610.

Have I got it wrong, or have I just done (or not done) something wrong?

I've loaded the update DVD, paid for my unlock, selected the maps and transferred them to the 2610, but still only four figure postcode.

It's the operating system - not the maps - that enable full postcode searching.
Thus the full searching applies to the i3, 2720, Nuvi and all the others that do the 3-D (birdseye) view.

Bugger, that was one of the main reasons for upgrading - just as well the kids are funding the purchase for my birthday, I'd hate to think I'd wasted the dosh myself!!
