Have you put Keihan R80G/S downpipes & collector on your R100GS

There was discussion on this in the Y pipe thread. Given the lack of availability of stock collectors, I am thinking of going down this path. I DONT want a Y Pipe.

My stock collector has holed, & is at the end of its life. The collector is a prior owner stainless DIY, with some fit issues. I figure I might as well deal to both issues at once. The muffler is stock, & seems in good shape (Stainless exterior). . I don't have the available cash to purchase some of the Euro full systems.

The bike was a '91 R100GS

I think when I looked at this (and I stand to be corrected) that as long as you use the downpipes and the collector from a G/S they all fit fine but the angle of the discharge pipe from the collector box is not quite the same as a GS and needs a little modification.

This part may be cheaper from Motowworks - I got one off um about 5 year back ( I think ) for £104 AIR HTHY

Mr Arkright IMHO sums it up correctly.....maybe using a jap aftermarket silencer or a small intermediate pipe between mono collector and mono silencer etc should do the trick
