Have you seen the price of Airhead GS parts?

You better believe it. I was after a heat shield for my g/s PD and a used one went for £260 odd at auction on eBay...I bowed out at £150 which I thought was a crazy price.

No ad - but try gummukuh.de (or something similar) on fleabay. Constant feed of GS bits. Got a gspd para housing with perfect bearings for €18 plus shipping. Pannier racks €49, crashbars with side stand €89, entire loom €25 ... Bided my time and waited for the right "slightly imperfect" items and followed the bidding to the split second... Jus' sayin'

Thanks for that.... the site is Boxer-gummikuh.de . They seem to have pretty random stuff but I suppose it depends on the bikes they are breaking at the time....could be useful....good shout.

Cheers

Good reading if you have a stash of GS and G/S parts in the workshop--------.
But I doubt anyone is paying these prices when there are vendors on German Ebay who are still selling at sensible prices.
And FWIW anything I have bought from Gummikuh has been promptly posted and good quality.
And cheap.

Should I remove this comment....tad unfair as he probably has many satisfied customers..:nenau We'd be lost without the three or four airhead suppliers etc.

YES.... if you think you are being ripped off then don't use them and leave the people who are happy to pay the price alone

Yes Kenny. Please remove.

As Garry said, if you don't like his prices don't buy. The website is clear enough with prices before you commit to buy.

There will come a day when he will have that elusive part that you are looking for.

We do need suppliers to keep the airheads going.

Happy New Year all Airheaders :D

I can take it that freedom of speech is not allowed and expressing yourself clearly is frowned upon ......

That's an old chestnut and a cop out - just bad mannered in my opinion. Feel free to have a rant in the bollicks section with some back-up but I'd kindly ask not in the airhead section.:thumb2

Sherlock have supplied many a tosser with parts and will continue to do so...we rely on these suppliers.

I recently made the big mistake of adding up the total cost of building my Moorespeed airhead Dakar Replica. I needed to replace 99% of the original parts as they were worn out,and didn't want to use second hand bits. I now have a new "old" bike, but eye watering just doesn't cover it.

Same dealer who is charging more for used GSA led indicators than BMW charge for a new one
