:type I’m having a really good day today. Not just because it’s Friday and a weekend is about to be spent with motorcycle overlanding mates … but because of this.

The latest reviews on my books 'Distant Suns' and 'Tortillas to Totems' have just been published. Ian Kerr, who Brit readers will know is a hugely well respected motorcycle journalist and book reviewer in the UK (amongst other things!!!!), has given them a thorough going over.

He says such things as:
‘…an ordinary guy living a dream and telling it in a way that not only informs, but entertains.’
And,
‘He manages to convey the atmosphere, the soul of the country and the people he meets along the way that really make you feel you are part of the journey.‘

Then I'm doing what I set out to do! Yep, a really good day :)

Many thanks to Mr Kerr for the review. The full version is here:

Hi abrasion, :beerjug: Thank you!!! But a new bike... dunno, Libby kind of does her thing and it works. I am going for a test ride on an F800 though. Finally persuaded myself to 'just do it'. Hope I don't like it too much!!!

There is nothing better than an airhead:thumb2

The ribena bike seriously needs some TLC but there is nothing makes me smile more than riding it.:thumb

I had to sent them to Nick Saunders stand to spend their money on his books !

Thousands? Ah, those'd be the people I'd paid to be asking then :augie So glad Nick got all the extra business :augie:augie But seriously, simply couldn't afford to be at the show this year. Pitch, fuel from Exeter, accom... Big shame. First time I've not made it there in dunno, 5 years. How was the show?

Well done Sam and thoroughly deserved. :clap

I don't think you'll ever sell Libby, will you?

Thanks! :thumb2 And sell Libby? Grief no. Not after all the fun she's given me and all the places she's got me to. I simply love that bike - third leg? Old friend for sure. I'm looking forward to being at Sid's airhead bash this year with her. His do has always clashed with other events I've needed to be at in the past. Not happening this year!!! Are you heading over?
