It came off the 2008 F650GS but won't go on the 2010 model. The front two rubber bolts seem to be angled backwards compared to what I remember of the older model. If I fit it on the front two rubbers the front securing bar and the rear two rubbers are way out--by about an inch. Even trying with all my strength I can't get it on.

I checked with Bahnstormers to make sure the design hasn't altered. Any ideas welcomed.

I don't have the BMW bash plate, but with the Touratech, the front bolts don't go in the holes that you're using in that pic. They screw into holes in the indented areas just forward of those two. I made the same mistake!

Looks to me like you're not using the correct holes in the sump on one of the rearmost mounts. See how there's a slightly upraised boss forward of one of the rear mounts?

DAMHIK you can use the wrong holes ;)

You are quite right, it's now almost a clean fit, I just need to bash the plate back into the shape it should be.

I was fitting the BM plastic one to my 650 so I knew it should fit, just didn't want to the first time. I fitted the mounts to the plate and saw where they lined up :) was easy then.
