It’s official the problem Hayes callipers, the following part numbers:

34118405109

34118405110

Are no longer available, (these are the gold ones, it’s the same for the black ones). That’s the good news, the bad news is the redesigned/re-engineered calipers won’t be available until week 13.

Well that's good news. I take it you are now having these fitted to your new bike before you take delivery? Roll on wk 13 :thumb2

What will also be interesting to see will be if BMW treat this in the same way as they did the fork collar issue, i.e. replace the calipers when the bike is taken in for a service FOC?

Allow me to make a wild guess here.

I would expect this issue to be treated in the same way as when they struggled with the switch-gears (That went through several number-changes).

Most people did not have problems with the switchgears, but even so, the failure rate was way above acceptable. The way BMW handled it was that any time a bike even smelled of switchgear problem, BMW would change them, no questions asked.
But no recall campaign.

@Stevie900 thanks for your input!! I now just going to wait until week 13 regards Dennis
