hi all, just wondering whether any of you guys want to meet up at hayle bike meet. starts at 6.30pm i think every tuesday. been a couple of times and only meet one other gs rider:eek:.:)

I haven't been yet, as I am usually busy on a Tuesday night, but I could make an effort if there is gang turning up.

I think you must be talking about the meet at MacDonalds at Hayle. I often go to meet up with friends from the Southwest Riders club. Its the usual bike meet with dozens of the layest rice rockets and over chromed cruisers and a selection of interesting Classics, specials and one offs I have seen and spoken to a number of gsers but it was awkward asking them if they were "tossers". A few other bmw bikes are usually to be seen. hardly any stupid antics, good atmosphere and very friendly. Maccy Ds tea is exceptionally bad but the coffee is palatable. Mumbers vary from a handfull on a piss wet night to about three hundred on a good night.
Mine is either the 650 Dakar(red/whitw/blue or the black 100gs. Make yourself known .:rob

MacD. Nightmare. I am banned from going there under the "prevention of arguments with the wife" act due to their policy of burning rain forest to feed whales or something. I'll have to do a stealth job.

What sort of time do people turn up?

I usually go about 7 ish but there are usually quite a lot there already. I suppose some go and have their tea there( some people have no taste) Others turn up much later. Tends to die off in winter though some die hards do continue, (not me). If you are interested, The Southwest Riders meet at the triple M cafe near Portreath at about 10 am every Sunday. Friendly bunch who ride a variety of bikes. usually ride out to various places in cornwall. quite sociable and a ride at your own pace mentality. If you want to know more just ask, I will be away, off to Spain on Friday so may not reply straight away.:rob

Will try to get there 7-7.30 for a quick cuppa if anyone is up for it.(Unless weather is crap)

Can't make it this week or next but okay next month, if anyone else is still going.

Pleasure to meet you, Pastyman and others.
Much bigger turn out than I expected.
Also noted the flourescent clad wielders of the hairdryer of doom in the immediate area.
