Received mine from Nippy today. Better to have one than not to have one , I suppose, but to be honest I am disappointed. There is a small, well printed colour section, showing tools and wiring diagrams, but the remainder is of the really important content and it's very poor b&w print quality and the many pictures are hard to comprehend, as a result. I've compared this paperback manual with several of my old hardback Haynes manuals and I am very sorry to report that the print quality is not in the same league. That's my 2p:nenau

Agree, disappointing bit really no different to Haynes of old but nice to have all the same. And why can't they number the pages - looking for chapters and sub headings is crazy.

Try looking up front wheel removal. Confusing text and much better in the owners manual.

Same. Got mine the other day and initially I was disappointed. It says "Full colour" on the front page but that's just a few pics. I always recall my previous car Haynes manuals as being hardback too but that might just be rose tinted memories not sure.

Having said that, it's a book about GS's, what's not to like?! Bit of bedtime reading :)

Do not, under any circumstances, leave your leaking hydration pack on the settee near your brand new Haynes manual. Fecking thing has pages made of sponge!

It's printed on toilet paper. Just compared it to an older Haynes manual and it's not in the same league.

I thought it was just me thinking I ended up with a knock version!

The manual is sealed (so you cannot view the contents) and has the taste of colourful content:

Shame, there's a lot of photography in there, but I'd pay more for a quality version!

The email that I got from NN telling me yet again that the manual was in stock, despite having already sent me the item, included some screen shots with much better resolution than the actual manual!

It is poor quality as above but interesting to see how the bike is screwed together nonetheless strip down descriptions are rather vague also? No doubt it will continue the Haynes tradition of leading you down a blind alley & abandoning you with missing / miss information just when you need it most

Yeah, worth buying nonetheless. I'd still take it with me on a tour just in case!

I've emailed Haynes about the poor quality print and paper. Let's see what they say.

I'm curious what they say about the coolant change? BMW doesn't schedule it, and the rsd manual shows a very complicated procedure for backfilling it using a special rig of tubes.

What annoys me is they've clearly taken all the photos with a decent digital camera for the online manual but decided to print the book in a 1980's black and white newspaper style with pixelated photos. I'm just off to check this is 2016..
