Hi all,

Looking around my new GS found that the hazard warning button is missing, although they work when both indicator buttons are pressed together. Anyone out there had the same experience? or have BMW just forgot to put the button on mine. :(

Mine's the same, don't panic

Dunno why, but the newest of the new GS's don't have a hazard button. You just have to be able to press both indicator buttons at the same time and .. hey presto....
I think it's called 'development', or maybe 'cost cutting'. Think about all the money they will save on buttons.

I take it your looking in the right place. Left side grip beside the trip button and above the ABS button, right next to the wing mirror bar. Is there a hole were it should be? If not maybe you have a 2006 model

Sounds like an improvement to me - you have to be digitally gifted to reach the hazard button with a finger on my 2004 model - gripping the bars and hitting the indicator switched seems like a smarter move.

How do you turn the hazards off? On my bike (2004) you can turn them on either with the hazard button or by pressing both indicators, but only the hazard button will turn them off.

my 1100 GS had the 'press both indicators' version, my 2004 1200 has the red button that lights up and everything...but I agree that the original is better - if it ain't broke......

The 1200 still works when you press both indicators but I think you can only cancell with the red button.

Surely, this is good - it means the designers are down to this sort of fine tuning...???
