Anyone got any experience of these guards?

ADV is $289 (£180) plus shipping and possible import taxes.

Wonderlich is £159. I've seen the ADV one but never the other. Apart from the superior (looking) clamp on the ADV is it worth the extra?

From those photos the Wunderlich looks a bit cheap and nasty compared to the ADV. How fast are you planning to to go when you bin it? Rocker cover guards and head protectors looks a bit belt and braces.

I bought the Wunderlich ones and changed the front clamps for ones like the US version that I found from a marine hardwear supplier. I'll get a photo.

I reckon the plain OEM Cyl-head covers that come with the bike are more than adequate. :rob

I slid my old Adv down the middle of the road at 55mph and only replaced the guard for cosmetic reasons. The front tubular guard lost a bit of metal, I must admit.

Looks like you are adding weight for fcuk-all.

TBH they look clunky and those flattened tube ends won't stand much hammer.

My bike has Touratech alloy head guards. One got tested when I first had the bike and all it's got to show is a protector that looks even more purposeful.

Being TT they wont be cheap (mine came with the bike) but the do look good.:)

I went with the Altrider engine protectors bars - so don't see a need for head protectors (?).... these engine bars are brilliant !

How well do the Altrider bars fit to a GSA. I notice that they dont have fittings for the original fog lights
