Steptoe - I know of at least 2 worthy causes, what's the status of batches/orders??

Yeah, I've come across from the R1150R.org forums too since someone mentioned this site/thread over there.

I'd possibly be interested in a set of these. Currently considering Hepco Becker crash bars but these/Stantons just look tidier...

Yes,for R&D , done over 5K miles with them fitted. The 1st one off casts.

I've got the 1st mould casts, and i'm going to the foundry in the next couple days to oversee one minor adjustment, and give the go ahead for the first batch to be made.

Today i went to the foundry on my bike, so they could see how the things they're producing are used.

The head honcho had an idea, and they will have an improved "special" finish.

I've ordered 20 sets to start with.

Now i just wait until they contact me. Perhaps next week.

Don't hold your breath - it's taken me long enough to get these done. And it costs a fair bit of money to set it all up, with mouldmakers, one offs, etc etc

Bodger , you seem to be having trouble - The price is stated in the first post in this thread, at the beginning, the start.

I won't be doing a black finish for the moment. And if/when i do, it'll be more expensive.

So it's just a nice Ali finish for now.

Was kinda hoping for black myself, as I have the Dakar/Ferrite R1150R which has the black engine/rocker covers.

I'm not very DIY minded, would they spray up alright with the likes of the paints from Halfords? I'm guessing the metal needs to be primed first too.
