Head guards for 1100/1150 models. On sale now.

Question

I currently have H&B crashbars fitted, which transfer the weight of the bike onto the frame if (OK, when ;) ) it goes over. These head guards protect the rocker covers, but is damage to the engine (e.g. head-barrel or barrel-crankcase joints) likely if the weight of the bike lands on it?

Also, are they much easier to remove for valve clearance adjustment?

Would like to change the crashbars for these, but wonderin' :nenau

These are all in previous posts. None of them reported any issues with the engine taking damage. The last one had damage to the valve cover, but the bike was still rideable. The first two may not show up. If you check back a few pages, you can see the pictures. You can also click the links I added.

They use the same holes as the Plastic useless ones, so yes...:nenau

Yeah, of course it is, as they are handed - duh! :blast

Just saw "Headguard: quantity 1" on the website and had a momentary lapse of reason.

All is well and I'll also be able to fit the crud-catcher that would not fit over the crash bars and has been sitting on the bench since I bought it over a year ago :bounce1
