bose's profile says he has a 1200. In which case, the above doesn't apply.
We've done this quite a lot recently bose, do a search. However, in general terms, I'd suggest that it depends upon the age of your bike. '04-'07 you can probably get away with just fitting headers and / or an aftermarket end can. Even for '07 bikes you might want to run the bike on the dyno to establish that the air/fuel ratios are rich enough. For '08 onwards bike which have a leaner fuel map, I'd definitely run them on the dyno and be prepared to use a Power Commander or some other device to have the fuelling mapped closer to the optimum.
