Can anyone suggest somewhere that I can get a set of headers that will take the standard can without breaking the bank? I have had a quote from HG for Remus headers for £380

Try Keihan

Keihan make excellent headers that also eliminate the cat. They have the balance pipe which apparently helps low down torque??. Well made and easy to fit and less than £300.

Try a PM to sadjim about Remus Headers - he might do you a deal you can't refuse!

Keihan are going to add a hanger to their headers - they asked me to confirm some mounting sizes a few weeks a go which I did and also sent over some pictures. These get good write ups and the lack of a hanger was holding me back from buying. Trouble now is I bought an Akra can during a weak moment on Ebay and I'm not sure if the combination of Keihan (or any other non-cat headers) plus the Akra is going too far for the OEM fueling.

I have dealer fitted remus headers and akro can on an 08 - 16000 miles and no problems (touch wood)

Keep an eye on the 'for sale' section and post in the 'wanted' section. Headers come up fairly regularly. I have (hopefully) just picked up a set of Remus hearders for £150. I have a Remus titanium end can if you want one £110 collected, £125 posted.

Thanks for the offer Bones (great avatar btw) but I am only after the headers at this stage.

Thanks for all the other replies - I have some homework to do now:D

Hi the name Pipeworks above, should read Pipecraft and this is there site address :- http://homepage.ntlworld.com/susan.insole/. The contact for the bike exausts is Gary who is helpful and responsive.

There is no hanger supplied and when I asked was told they do not believe one is needed. I did however reuse the standard hanger with some modification as I felt further support was needed. So far it runs fine and I put on about 3000 miles on it in 10 days on the Croatia 09 tour around Europe.
