Quick question - will the original bmw exhaust headers from a 57 gs fit a 2009 gs?

Yes i'm sure they will.

I'm using de-cat headers from my 04 GS on my current 09 GSA.

Incidentally, do you have any issues fitting engine protection bars with your decat headers? All the bars on nippy normans say will not fit??

The genuine Remus Headers are a perfect fit if you have the BMW OEM engine bars fitted on your GS/GSA.
But there are fitting issues with some makes of aftermarket bars (SW Motech & H&B etc..not sure which ones though), due to the Lambda sensors fowling.

My 05 1200GS has REMUS decat headers and MOTECH engine bars. They fit with each other just fine.
