Heading to Norway this August 2012

Hi Guys,
Wife and I are heading to Norway on our own bikes arriving in Brevik on Monday 06/08/12 at 08:00 hours. Returning on Friday 24/08/12 at 03:00 hours. Planning 15 days on the bike in Norway with 3 rest days. Some days quite short to do things we want to do via ferry or walk. Other days very long to get up and back to Lofoten. I am uanable to attach the routes I have planned in GPX format and what I have had time to do of the itinerary so far. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I will PM routes to those interested for suggestions. In process of Pming Liv. Attached photo is of the bikes we will be bringing.

Mostly Norway

Just got back from Norway and posted this trip report over on ABR.

I was due to be on the Breivik-Immingham boat but got 'bumped' on both outgoing and return . Not a problem as I switched to plan B: Harwich-Esbjerg.

I know you´re not going to listen, but I would seriously consider skipping Lofoten. It is very nice, but so are other parts of Norway. Consider this:

- Breivik to Trondheim: At least 2 long days of just riding
- Trondheim to Bodø the scenic route (RV17): 3 days
- Explore Lofoten, return to Bodø: 3 days
- E6 (rather boring) Bodø - Trondheim: 2 days
- Trondheim to Breivik: 2 days

That was your 12 riding days, even if you call Lofoten your rest days. (Short distances there.) Not much time to smell the roses or look at anything. Not much time to explore the fantastic South-West.

Edit: PS Make sure you have Breivik and not Brevik on your route.
