Well that was a disaster, :blast

Just tried to set the headlamp aim... low beam ...

Seems i can illuminate Mars, but not the ground in front lol .

I used a cross on the garage door with the required deflection zones marked.

Couldn't get anywhere near them. :( No defined beam top in the vertical plane

and the kick up was no where near the defection limit.

Now i know the headlight had a fubarred / read missing single / two person

adjuster, but the other adjuster top right is there.

Moving that only seems to move the lamp L&R OK for high beam start & low

Kick up. but nothing for height??.

Looking at the lamps I've got the Leds side to side, I'm wondering if they need to go up down, and need moving in / out to improve the focus ?

Any ideas

Fuck fuck fuckety fuck!!!

What fucktards owned my bike me, another part missing or fucked!!

Yup the missing centre adjustment unit bolt thing .... fucking MISSING!!!!!

that's another trip to the parts counter FFS

What's the betting that the ball headed socket that the adjuster goes into is fucked too.... that will be a new fucking headlight unit !!!!

cant you tell i'm a tad pissed!!

The only other way i can see to do it is to drill a hole in the back of the unit

and place a threaded rod with a hook over the adjuster section and the see if i
can put a bush and nut on the outside of the casing :(

Mine did this. The reflector had popped off its ball joint adjuster. It's happened before because my headlight already has a 3mm hole in the back.

Nice solution by Bennysdad ::thumby:

I've already had a quote for the adjuster, ill order it when I'm back at work

Tuesday.

If the fixing inside is bolloxed, what I'm thinking of doing is cutting a

hole in the bottom for access. then drilling a hole through the adjuster plate,

and putting a small threaded rod through it and locking to the plate. (2 nuts )

On the other end (outside the headlight) a washer and 2 nuts on the bar for

adjustment & to lock it in position
