Headlamp keeps going off!

The dipped beam on my 1100GS keeps going on and off.

I've sussed what the problem is, it's the switch on the left where you can go to full beam or flash the full beam. It must be shity or a bit corroded, maybe both.

I've given it a good dousing in contact cleaner and it works for a while but then the problem returns after a week or two.

Is it fairly easy to resolve? Couldn't find anything from a search.

You can open it completely into pieces and clean the contact surfaces with fine sand paper.
I did it and now it works.

I had exactly the same problem last November.

I removed the multi-pin contact for the bulb holder and gave both sides a liberal coating of WD. No problem since, but it has not been used that much!
