Hi Guys, please advise. my r12ST has a DWA-6 alarm fitted I need to remove the battery but was deafened when I tried to remove the terminals! OUCH!! I had thought I had deactivated the alarm (turn key in ignition and then off, press fob once to get couple of beeps, then again to get 3 beeps - this deactivates it normally) but clearly not.
Is there something I'm missing? Too late at night now to try the above deactivation again but intend trying again in the morning. the manul offers nothing else besides the above procedure - but in a very confusing form.

oh I hate alarams and will remove it completely when I can!!
