Hi to all.Can I fit a BMW switch to my Rockster that will allow me to switch the lights OFF. I do not like being a V---O driver.. O)r failing that is there a simple way to do it,may it do harm to the alternator if it's not driving the lights?? Thanks for any help RR :beerjug:

It could be done professionally ( at suitable cost ) with switchgear from a model that doesn`t have its lights permanantly on...and some wiring mods.

I`ve altered a few American import Jap bikes and fitted UK spec switchgear with selectable lighting.

Otherwise you`d need the likes of a dash mounted switch to break the lighting circuit feed.

If Ive understood you correctly, I think that Wunderlich sell something that appears to be a "retro fit" light switch, that gives you a conventional, off, position lamp, headlamp option. About £50.00 ish, I think, on the 1150 page.

I sorry I dont know what that internals of the handlebar switch look like so can't be any help on fitting. Im sure someone in GS'er land must have done though :)
