Serves me right for ignoring some of the threads on this subject. After 7000 miles I ditched the standard headlight bulbs on the 1200 in favour of the "twice as bright" "vibration proof" "90 day Warranty" PIAA extreme white plus bulbs at nearly £40 a piece from Nippys. Now 2000 miles and 100 days later the dip beam is 100% less bright than the standard bulb because it just got very bright and then went out on my way home tonight.

Is this just a GS specific problem or are they just shit bulbs?

I'm with you here. Mine went after 4000 miles or approx 60 hours of use. Not impressed.

HIDs for Christmas.....
