Headlight fell off!

Hey all,

Just a quick warning to check the two bolts holding your headlight assembly on. I am currently touring France/spain on my F650 and my headlight bolts managed to rattle loose and drop out - yup, both of them. Presume it happened during the day as I only noticed when it got dark and the beam looked a bit wobbly - I pulled over and the entire headlight cluster was only being held on by the wiring!

Luckily I'm a few weeks inside the 2 yr BMW warranty so I was able to take it to Monte carlo BMW (another horror story.....) for replacement bolts.

Word to the wise-check your bolts regularly

I found my screen bolts really loose - worth going around the bike to check.

It's a good idea to walk round your bike in the morning, particularly when on tour, just checking it visually.

+2 put a rusty one in (cheaper than loctite)
